First Aid Awareness



Covering relevant areas such as incident awareness, responding to accidents and emergencies and minor injury treatment, this programme provides a suitable platform for individuals looking to assist with basic first aid practices, within their limitations and sphere of competence.

What you will learn?

The course provides basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:

· Role of the first aider

· Health and safety (first aid) regulations

· Managing an emergency

· Resuscitation (paediatric CPR)

· Commuincation and casualty care

· Seizures (adult)

· Bleeding (minor and severe)

· Shock

· Burns

· Choking (adult)

· Unresponsive casualty

· Defibrillator pad placement

· Defibrillator prompts and how to respo

Who can apply?

Almost anyone! Candidates should have a basic command of English (defined as Level 2).  While we are often able to provide support to people who are non-native speakers of English, please note that our ability to do so is restricted by the time support is available, as well as the number of people who require assistance.  Please get in touch in advance so that we can ensure arrangements can be made for language support.

Assessment and Certification

Written assessment and continuous observation will be carried out by the trainer throughout the day.

Successful candidates will receive a Little Legs certificate which is valid for three years.

*All successful candidates on this course will receive their first annual refresher training at half price.
